We are a group of schools in the Brislington area of Bristol who have joined together to improve literacy achievement. Our project is a pilot funded by the DfES to:

'Raise attainment in literacy through the use of film by developing narrative writing in all key stages across the curriculum.'

This website has been created in the first instance to ease communication and resource sharing with schools from the Brislington cluster. However it is our aim to turn this site into a teaching and learning forum, where ideas of projects past, present and future can be shared.

It includes contact information and links to the schools' website addresses; the structure and function of the group; information for teachers involved in the project with downloadable resources to be used when collecting data and teaching the project. Plus information for other schools and new networks as regards to our focus, intention and process.

The longevity of the website will be maintained by turning it into a teaching resource after the projects have been completed. Any school/parent/carer/child will be able to access the completed films, resources, planning and children's work. It is intended that the website be used as a communication device both between the network and to external organizations.
